How does a corn deep processing plant work?

Deep processing of corn is a complex technological process during which the grain is separated into valuable components. Each of them becomes an independent product or raw material for further production.

Reception and preparation of grain

Work begins with receiving corn. The laboratory determines humidity, debris, contamination, nature and other indicators. After inspection, the grain is cleared of foreign matter and, if necessary, sent for drying or storage.

Soaking and softening grains

The prepared corn is soaked under controlled conditions. The purpose of this stage is to soften the structure of the grain and prepare it for separation into starch, protein part, germ and shell. Temperature, duration and composition of the medium affect the efficiency of the entire process.

Grinding and separating components

After soaking, the grain goes through several stages of grinding. Using specialized equipment, the embryo, fibrous part and protein components are separated. The starch suspension undergoes additional purification and concentration.

Receiving finished products

Purified starch can be dried and packaged or sent for further processing into molasses, glucose, maltose and glucose-fructose syrups. By-products are used to produce feed products, which increases the overall depth of use of raw materials.

Control and traceability

At each stage, technological parameters are controlled. For customers, stability of the composition, repeatability of properties and the ability to identify each batch are important - from received grain to shipped products.
